The problem is it's a GM 3.1L, lol....Intake gasket failure?

coolant senser failed, causing low temp , causing the carbon under eger valve too cake up and fail the egr valve my two cent guess

Yeah, TM was close. On some models of the 3.1L the EGR port behind the throttle body will clog with carbon causing a flow problem code to trigger. Many times, EGR's are bought and put on to fix this problem. Anytime you have a flow problem you should make sure that the ports are clear first. Replacing the EGR a bunch of times would not solve this flow problem. Next picture is posted.
